Urban Seed Foundation is a nonprofit organization commited to providing access to fresh local produce and nutrition education to local at-risk communities. Our focus is on serving and educating our most critical community sectors including pre-natal single moms, pre-k-12th grade students living in food desert areas, homeless teens and homeless veterans.
We collaborate with like-minded community partners to fund local food access and nurtition education programs with an emphasis on practical food decision making skills, food preparation skills, and food growing skills. Our programs include funding school gardens in Las Vegas, student run farmer's markets, STEAM curriculum in public and charter schools, and hands-on learning in other community hubs where at-risk citizens congregate.
Your generosity empowers us to look beyond the challenges of food insecurity and inspires our full effort into creating healthy solutions for the many in need Nevadans we serve together. We are deeply humbled and privileged to be a source of food access and nutrition education in Las Vegas -- the community that is in the center of our mission.
Our current and future success of providing our at-risk community members with access to healthy locally grown produce is only possible by the continued generosity of our donors. In the coming year, Urban Seed Foundation plans to impact an additional 5000 K-12 students, and 1500 US Veterans and homeless youth. We will also provide cooking lessons and kitchen equipment for over 100 single mothers this year!
We will keep you updated on the exciting progress. Please support Urban Seed Foundation in Las Vegas today! Every dollar counts. Please donate generously.
