The event is November 7, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Fairway Hills Clubhouse at The Ridges, a master planned community of Summerlin®. Entry donation is $50, entry plus 5 raffle tickets is $100.

Executive Director Annmarie Feiler sits on the Governor's Council on Food Security. She attends this meeting 6 times annyally representing the mission and goals of Urban Seed Foundation. There is an opportunity for public comment at this meeting, if anyone from the community is interested to participate.
Governor Brian Sandoval issued an Executive Order on February 12, 2014 establishing the Governor's Council on Food Security within the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Food Security. The Council was created to implement the goals of Food Security in Nevada: Nevada's Plan for Action and effectively improve the quality of life and health of Nevadans by increasing food security throughout the State.

Somerset Academy Losee's USF Garden Program is in their 2nd year, and what a success we are having! This school has 18 garden beds, fruit trees, trellises, gilds and more. The harvest this fall will be beautiful, delicious and nutritious - just our flavor!
